Meet Avonie, one of our Class of 2014 High School Seniors!
Here is a look at Avonie’s senior portrait session that I traveled to Georgetown, in Washington, DC to shoot. She decided to have it outdoors so she could accentuate her dance moves. Avonie loves to dance ballet and hip hop and doesn’t ever stop dancing. She danced throughout the entire shoot! She plans on continuing her dance career in the fall of 2014 at the University of Art in Pennsylvania.
Although we do have a fabulous glam squad that provides wardrobe, hair and makeup, Avonie preferred to do her own wardrobe styling and hair. One of her must-have accessories were her ballet pointe shoes, of course. She accompanied her shoes with a coral tank, a jean vest, and camo capri shorts. I love how she combined her ballet and hip hop style.
But let’s face it, every girl wants her makeup to be flawless! She wanted her appearance to be different from her everyday style so she asked our glam squad to give her a more “girlie” look. Our professional makeup artist gave Avonie a flawless look that made her eyes POP.
I was asked to shoot Avonie’s senior photos because she loved my work with other senior girls. I’m glad she asked because I had a blast at this shoot! Avonie’s favorite part of the shoot was walking around Georgetown and taking pictures. And after a long hard day at work we enjoyed some delicious treats from Georgetown Cupcakes and Pinkberry. I mean what’s a trip to Georgetown without stopping in at Georgetown Cupcakes?
Avonie describes her experience with CLMS as “fun, exciting, amazing, creative and swaggie.” She felt that it was much more professional than others that she has had in the past.
